For the longest time I felt I needed certain things and needed to behave in certain ways in order to be fulfilled and successful and mostly that served me well, except for one thing – ‘I cultivated a polished and professional bed-side manner that didn’t always allow me to show up as fully myself’. These are the words of my coach and mentor and at first blush this may seem like something really positive but what I heard was something completely different.
What I heard was as much as I may be good at what I do, I’m not that good at being who I really am. Confusion and disbelief swam around in my head at hearing the words but very soon clarity and understanding emerged and I felt a lightness wash over me that hasn’t left me yet.
The foundation of the work I teach is based on the 3 Principles as revealed by the theosopher, Sydney Banks. It’s a simple understanding of how the human mind really works and it’s been life-changing for me and for my clients, students and coaches. Why this is the only way I coach and teach is because this simple understanding has given me so much more peace and contentment.
I’ve noticed that when I show up fully as the real me, with no comparison or judgement I connect with people in a deep way, and that’s what ‘gives them permission’ to be themselves too. In a world that demands that we have to, should do, must do and could do it feels so liberating to forget about all the should’ve, would’ve and could’ve and simply….. be who we truly are. It’s a statement that’s so overused – just be – but what does it really mean?
I know you want to feel happier and more contented. You’re tired of feeling overwhelmed and anxious about the future and you want more peace of mind. I know. Me too. Chasing what you think you need only creates exhaustion. Following the guidance that we all have access to leads to liberation and isn’t that what we all want?
Are you willing to show up for yourself first? Do you want to truly live authentically without the stress, worry and strain of your current way of being? Perhaps you feel you want to make a difference in the lives of others? It starts with you!
I know it’s on offer. It’s up to you. It’s always up to you. Take that step.
All my love
Sharon ❤️
it is our light not our darkness that most frightens us
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won’t feel insecure around you.
God that is within us.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
Our presence automatically liberates others.
